WHAT TO DO ON MOUNT OLYMPUS

For adventure-lovers, who wish to keep adrenaline levels high, Olympus, with its natural wonders and alternating landscape, offers a wide range of outdoor activities, covering all degrees of difficulty and providing thrilling, one of a kind experiences.

Conquering Olympus and its mountain-peaks by means of trekking or hiking is surely the classic way of doing it. Numerous paths and hiking trails, setting off from Macedonia and Thessaly, will let you discover the hidden “treasures” of the mountain. Aside of them, there are “lighter” and less demanding options for experiencing the wild and imposing nature of Olympus such as walking tours or road safaris with 4X4 jeeps.

In the canyons of Enipeas, Orlias and Agia Kori, nature is certainly doing its miracle. The rocks, waterfalls, natural ponds and lush vegetation, hosts to unique species of birds and fish, provide many other thrills spanning from swimming, canoe-kayaking and rock climbing to rappelling, mountain-biking, rafting and bird watching. To top up adrenaline, you may, also, choose from horse riding, parachuting, mountain skydiving and alpine skiing. For the activities that special equipment is needed, there are tour-operators organizing all kinds of special outdoor excursions led by experienced mountain guides who guarantee a lifetime experience in the shelter of Gods and myth.
