Livadaki Refuge

Livadaki Refuge is a small emergency shelter with a fireplace and a capacity for five persons, located at an altitude of 2.100 meters. From Livadaki one can reach the Simeoforos, Pagos and Kalogeros peaks. The easiest way to get to Livadaki refuge is by hiking from Prionia, which is accessible by road.

Pigadia Refuge

Pigadia Refuge is a small shelter is used in cases of emergency. Situated at an altitude of 1.400 m, it has a capacity of 18 persons, featuring a fireplace, kitchen and wood-burning stove. Aside from the hiking route, the shelter is accessible by road from Litochoro and Palea Leptokarya.

Prionia Refuge

The site Prionia (Saws) (altitude 1100), which took its name from the old woodcutting watersaws, is the main starting point for the ascent to the peaks. In summertime, the wooden shelter hosts a coffee shop and a plain restaurant that serves a very tasty bean soup. The motorway starting from Litochoro also ends at Prionia.

Krevatia Vrontou Refuge

Krevatia Refuge at Vrontou, located on the northern side of Mt. Olympus, on the upper side of the plateau, at an altitude of 1.005 meters. Dimitrios Boundolas Refuge | Stavros

Dimitrios Boudolas refuge is built at an altitude of 930-m, at the location Stavros, 9-km from Litochoro on the road to Prionia. It is the lowest and most accessible to Olympus excursionists. Further up, after the crossroads, starts the pathway to the Muses Plateau through Petrostrouga.
